The tennis pro, 39, and her 3-year-old daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr, are the stars of Stuart Weitzman’s new “Footstep to Follow” campaign, for which they modeled matching mommy-and-me bodysuits.

The pair’s form-fitting ‘fits were likely a nod to the athlete’s signature on-court catsuit, which she debuted at the 2018 French Open shortly after giving birth to Olympia. She has since reprised the style, even mixing it up with a one-legged version at the 2021 Australian Open.I would definitely call Olympia my mini-me. She is mini Serena,” Williams said in a video for the cute campaign.

While the mother-daughter duo is famous for coordinating their accessories and sharing clothes, the heartwarming photoshoot marks their first-ever fashion campaign together. “I don’t know if I hope if Olympia follows in my footsteps,” the tennis player revealed in the video. “I want her to do whatever she wants to do and what’s best for her.”

Stuart Weitzman says Williams is perfect spokesperson for the brand because she exemplifies the “multi-faceted aspects of womanhood in the modern landscape.” Williams’s ability to be the number-one singles women’s tennis player in the world and a kickass mom is proof that there really is no limit to what a person—and parent—can do. Plus, she does it in killer shoes. This collection is the perfect blend of “high-fashion” and “high-function” — and obviously perfect models. “I created this collection with an intentional, artful approach to design, engineering, and craftsmanship,” said Edmundo Castillo, the brand‘s Global Head of Design, to E! News. “The styles offer a renewed and emboldened sense of functionality and fashion to elevate the casual elegance of the modern woman.”

Being said now with Williams’ mini-me already playing tennis as a toddler, it remains to be seen whether she’ll go on to fill her mother’s shoes on the court.
