On December 13th, 2019, the eighth year of the “Overseas Department” ceremony, held under the patronage of the French President E.Macron, took place at the Palais d’léna, in Paris in the presence of the French Minister of Overseas Departments Annick Girardin. Journalist and Producer François Dupaire moderated the ceremony.This new production hosted by CASADOM in partnership with Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CESE) was very successful. The auditorium was crowded with VIPs families, individuals, journalists, who came to show their support and admiration for winners. Minister for the Overseas Territories, Annick Girardin, who wanted to participate in the ceremony, insisted on the interest she gave to this event, highlighting talents, dynamism and potential  of those from Overseas Department. For this 2019, promotion, the Patron was Euzhan Palcy, Director, Screenwriter, Producer and member of the Hollywood César Academy, a symbol of overseas excellence around the world. The award ceremony reward rewarded 45 distinguished talents, all from Overseas Department.

1 merit was also granted to a young lyric 16 years old artist

The 2019 prize winners put emphasize on several trends: the entrepreneurship rise among the winners’ activities, their willingness to return to their respective countries in order to contribute to their development, and the increasing attractiveness pronounced for disciplines useful to their territories. Suffice to say this year brought an innovation by honoring young entrepreneurs for the first time. Therefore these new honorary distinctions bring the number of Overseas Department Talents to 275, since the contest founding, who are all role models to demonstrate to young people there is no fatalism that would oppose their integration and upward social mobility.

During this unique ceremony, the French Guianese Alizé Utteryn, our CEO and founder of AlizéLaVie Corporate was awarded with the “Confirmed Talent” honor. Indeed she was one of the 24 laureates for this category.As a matter of fact she also joined the rank of    the “Entrepreneurship” category made up of 8 talents from French Guianese Overseas Department.

Her inspiring  journey and professional career in the United States was praised for her many international achievements and success. And her unfailing determination to contribute not only to her home country development but also for the Diaspora was spotlighted.
